Hereditary angioedema can cause swelling anywhere in the body where there are blood vessels. Cerebral swelling, eye swelling, facial swelling, intranasal swelling, throat swelling, upper G.I. swelling, small bowel swelling, lower abdominal swelling, urinary tract (especially bladder swelling), genital swelling, extremities: hands, feet, legs, knees, elbows, just one finger….. Anywhere there are blood vessels”.
